Double lessons

Two little indian kids take up double lesson this month onwards. Wow, they are brothers, 5 and 6 years old. The mum is willing to send them to center twice a week for double lesson, every tuesday and friday.
Many parents enquire about double lessons before, hope that their kids progress faster with more lessons, but not willing to send them to center twice a week due to busy working schedule and kids others tuition/classes.
We do not encourage very small kids take double lesson in 1 day, meaning 1 hour class straight. This is definitely not good for them. Kids cannot digest so many things in 1 hour, especially those 4 to 7 years old. Not that we don't want to earn more but we have to maintain our professionalism.
So parents, don't think that we do not entertain ur double lesson request. It can be done and will benefit the kids if it were to split in 2 day in a week -)

Note Patterns

Today i would like to talk a little bit about note patterns. Many good sight reader can identify the note patterns in music. One you should pay attention is the interval patterns. Interval means distance between 2 notes. See example below: G to B is 3rd interval , on the staff, it is from a line note to a line note. So any 2 notes from a line note to a line note is a 3rd interval.

Similarly, any 2 notes from a space note to a space note also a 3rd interval, i.g. F(space note) to A(space note).

Next example shows notes with an interval of a fourth (4th), F (space note) to B (line note) and the pattern is from a space note to a line note:

Vice versa, from a line note to a space note also an interval of a fourth (4th), i.e. E(line note) to A(space note) .
NOTE: LINE NOTE is the note written on a line of the staff.
SPACE NOTE is the note written between 2 lines (which is in the space) of the staff.
HAPPY SIGHT READING dear music lover.

STRUMENTO- an "Italian" word,means instruments

Some of the people always ask why our center called "Strumento".

This is very meaningful to us. "STRUMENTO" is an "Italian" word means "instruments" (musical instruments).

The name was choosen cause our main service is to teach people how to play instruments.
