Today i would like to talk a little bit about note patterns. Many good sight reader can identify the note patterns in music. One you should pay attention is the interval patterns. Interval means distance between 2 notes. See example below: G to B is 3rd interval , on the staff, it is from a line note to a line note. So any 2 notes from a line note to a line note is a 3rd interval.

Similarly, any 2 notes from a space note to a space note also a 3rd interval, i.g. F(space note) to A(space note).
Next example shows notes with an interval of a fourth (4th), F (space note) to B (line note) and the pattern is from a space note to a line note:
Vice versa, from a line note to a space note also an interval of a fourth (4th), i.e. E(line note) to A(space note) .
NOTE: LINE NOTE is the note written on a line of the staff.
SPACE NOTE is the note written between 2 lines (which is in the space) of the staff.
HAPPY SIGHT READING dear music lover.
